Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy
in Seattle and throughout Washington state
My approach to Internal Family Systems (IFS)
You’re high functioning and successful, but you’re barely holding it all together. You help others all the time, whether or not you’re in a helping profession. Maybe there’s a part of you that’s ready to stop putting yourself last, while another part of you feels guilty for caring for yourself. Self care seems ok for other people, but you struggle with it personally. You recognize some people pleasing or codependent tendencies but don’t know how to stop. You’re aware of your past trauma. You've done everything right on the outside, but something feels off on the inside.
Like many of my clients, maybe you’ve been to therapy before. You know the tools and coping skills, like meditation, journaling, and breathing exercises, and maybe you’re even pretty good about using them. You feel drawn to spiritual practices and energy work but want those tools to be practical and useful. Maybe you’re even a healer or a helper, either professionally or in your personal life. Even though it feels scary, you’re ready to move on from past experiences and make space for creativity, spirituality, and your intuition.
It's very common for a part of you to be ready to change, while another part of you wants everything to stay the same. As an internal family systems (IFS) therapist, I honor and welcome all parts of you. Together we’ll look at how different parts of you interact with each other and show up in your life.
IFS is a gentle yet effective approach to healing from past trauma and experiences. In my experience personally and with my clients, it allows for deep, lasting healing. IFS offers a path to healing the root cause of anxiety, codependency, depression, eating disorders, childhood trauma, and many other common mental health issues.
In IFS therapy, there is the belief that through connection with our parts, we have the capacity to hold and experience Self energy - which is calm, curious, compassionate, and creative. When we can make space for and heal our parts, we have more access to this type of energy in our daily lives.

I see all clients weekly for a minimum of four months. This is due to the nature of IFS therapy. It takes time to explore your system, and it needs to be consistent in order to be effective. After 4 months, we can reevaluate frequency.
We can talk about this more in your complimentary consultation ✦ →

Yes! But not for psychotherapy. I cannot diagnose or treat mental health conditions for anyone outside of Washington. I cannot provide therapy to anyone outside of Washington.
However, I can work with you utilizing both IFS and astrology as a coach anywhere in the world! We can work on business and career development, spiritual concerns, relationship issues, creative blocks, etc. But if you need mental health support, I will refer you to a mental health professional.

I recommend checking out the IFS Institute.
My favorite IFS book is No Bad Parts, written by the founder of IFS - Richard Schwartz. The audio book is especially great, because it includes guided IFS meditations.
